Wunsiedel Bavaria Fully Gilded Mocha Set – Mid Century Germany ca. 1960
A distinctive mid-century mocha set by Wunsiedel Bavaria, made entirely of gilded porcelain.
The coffee pot (21 cm high) and matching cups and saucers are richly gilded all around with a subtle ribbed texture. The inside of the cups is white porcelain with a delicate gold floral motif on the bottom.
This type of tableware was produced in the 1950s-70s for the export market and represents the luxurious table culture of post-war Germany. Fully gilded sets like this are visually more striking than standard rim-gilded versions.
A highly decorative ensemble for a bar cart, display cabinet or characterful set table.
