Vintage 1942 A.J. Holman “Jewel” Holy Bible – With Dutch Newspaper Clippings
A special and personal copy of an American “Jewel Edition” Bible, published by A.J. Holman Company in 1942.
This compact yet luxurious edition was gifted to a Dutch owner in 1949, and its original presentation inscription is still present. The Bible also contains religious newspaper clippings from the Utrechtsch Nieuwsblad – a beautiful historical document that enhances its personal character.
The pink/red gilt edge is remarkably well-preserved. The binding is sturdy, the paper in excellent condition. The flexible black cover shows signs of wear consistent with its age.
An atmospheric vintage item with history – not just a book, but a carrier of faith, family, and time.
While this book may not be rare, it is currently unique in our collection in terms of origin and language. Please note that the price may not be market-compliant.
