Catholic Rosary – Dark Glass Beads with Crucifix

Vintage Roman Catholic rosary with dark glass beads and a classic crucifix.

The rosary consists of multiple strands with dark brown glass beads that subtly let light through. Between the beads are decorative metal elements with an open pattern, giving the whole a distinctive character.

At the end hangs a classic crucifix with a figure of Christ, mounted on a dark cross with metal ends. Next to it is a devotional medal depicting Mary.

This type of rosary was widely used in Catholic households in the first half of the 20th century and is both a religious object and a special piece of devotional history.
