A characterful Japanese vase with a warm, almost marble-like craquelure base and refined figure decorations in soft earth tones. The hand-painted scenes show traditional figures in motion, with subtle mother-of-pearl accents that bring the surface to life in changing light.

The vase has an elegant shape with applied, organically shaped relief elements around the neck. This gives the object that typical, slightly theatrical look that is so beloved in Asian-inspired interiors.
