Compact Japanese miniature saucer executed in classic Satsuma style with applied Moriage relief and richly gilded decoration.

The central female figure is surrounded by multiple character heads in gold cartouches, detailed with raised gold lines and fine dot moriage. The warm reddish-brown background enhances the contrast with the polished gold and deep color fields.

The relief is clearly palpable in the gold contours and kimono details, typical of Showa period Satsuma-style decoration.

With a size of 8.5 cm, this is a decorative cabinet object that is well suited for display in a showcase or as part of an Asian collector's collection.
