An early Dutch edition of Gone With The Wind, the famous novel by Margaret Mitchell which appeared in 1936 and became known worldwide through the iconic 1939 film adaptation.

This special edition contains black and white film images from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production. The large illustrations show scenes with Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler and give the book a clear link to the film history of this classic.

The book has a landscape format, a design often used at the time for illustrated editions to allow the film images to be fully appreciated. Under the dust jacket is a linen hardcover binding with gold printing and a decorative element on the front cover.

The original dust jacket is damaged and the binding shows wear, causing the book block to be partially loose in the binding. The interior is complete and the illustrations are well preserved.

A characterful vintage edition of one of the best-known novels of the twentieth century.
