A special post-war edition of the New Testament according to Martin Luther's German translation.
This Taschen-Ausgabe was published in January 1947 in the American occupation zone of Germany, under the supervision of the military government (US-W-1111). The publication was made possible by a material contribution from the American Bible Society in New York.
The book represents the religious and cultural reconstruction of Germany directly after the Second World War.
Bound in black linen with a gold-colored cross and red edges. The interior is in beautiful condition.
Although this Bible is not very rare, it is currently unique in our collection in terms of origin and language. Please note that the price may not be in line with the market.
