Antique English Pince-Nez Spectacles with Original Leather Case – c. 1900
Antique English pince-nez spectacles with original leather case from F. Sing & Co, opticians in Weston-Super-Mare and Bridgwater.
This round pince-nez dates from around 1900 and is made of fine metal with a thin frame and round lenses. The model was widely worn in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and is characteristic of the Edwardian period.
The original leather slipcase still bears the gold imprint of the English optician and shows authentic signs of wear appropriate to its age.
