The box is labelled in three languages: "Chinesisches Verlegenheitsspiel", "Jeu chinois à embarrasser" and "Chinese Puzzle". The illustration shows a 19th-century European depiction of Chinese figures – typical of the fascination with the Far East around 1900.

The set includes the original wooden puzzle pieces (painted yellow) and the inner packaging.
