Set of Three: Antique Shakespeare Booklets c. 1900 | Sijthoff Leiden – Burgersdijk | Ex Libris

Three original Dutch editions from the series William Shakespeare's Plays, translated by Dr. L.A.J. Burgersdijk and published by A.W. Sijthoff in Leiden around 1900.

These include:

• Othello (Sixth impression)

• A Winter's Tale (Fifth impression)

• Love's Labour's Lost (Fourth impression)

The booklets have paper covers with characteristic green border printing and contain beautiful full-page illustrations.

Several volumes contain a decorative ex libris "Piet Gardien".

Condition: fragile.
Othello has a loose back cover and clear spine damage. The other volumes show wear and discolouration consistent with age.
