Chinese Porcelain Wall Plate – Qianlong Mark – Famille Rose – 25.5 cm

Atmospheric Chinese porcelain wall plate with a hand-painted scene in a traditional famille-rose palette and subtle gold accents.

In the center, we see a classic scholar in company, placed in a richly detailed interior with a view of a landscape. The border is decorated with peaches, flowers, butterflies, and gold-colored longevity symbols, executed continuously all around.

The underside bears a red Qianlong reign mark. This type of mark was widely used in the 20th century for decorative pieces in a traditional style.

A decorative statement piece that looks great in both a classic and an eclectic interior.
