Capodimonte Ornamental Amphorae – Mythological Decor – Italy ca. 1960–1980 - set of 2
Ziggy's Collection
Set of two Italian decorative amphorae from the Capodimonte tradition, executed with a classic mythological scene in rich colors and gilded relief.
The vases feature a continuous decor of naked figures and putti in a scenic setting, combined with pronounced shell ornamentation and gilded accents. The tall, double handles are styled with mascaron heads, giving the set a distinct neoclassical appearance.
Marked on the bottom with a crown, “Cali’s”, model number 2098 M and Capodimonte Italy.
A well-balanced set with a strong decorative presence, suitable for a classic or eclectic interior.
