Wall Crucifix Wood with Copper-colored Metal Corpus - 30 cm - approx. 1960–1980

Vintage wall crucifix made of solid wood with a warm copper-coloured metal corpus.

The austere wooden cross provides a serene frame for the expressively shaped corpus, the front of which has developed a deep coppery sheen. The combination of the simple wood and the warm metal gives the piece a powerful yet understated character.

The back of the corpus has a darker patina; the front shows a beautiful play of light on the body's forms. Construction is completely intact and includes a hanging bracket.

A characterful vintage devotional object from the second half of the 20th century.
