An impressive Flemish missal from 1947, printed in Turnhout and ecclesiastically approved in Mechelen.

"Volledig Dagelijks Misboek en Vesperale" (Complete Daily Missal and Vespers) contains the complete Roman Mass according to the pre-Vatican II liturgy, supplemented with vespers, prayers, and propers for feast days.

Bound in beautiful light brown leather with a deep embossed image of an angel holding a burning candle. The page edges have a striking gold/pink sheen, and at 6 cm thick, the book is remarkably voluminous.

Inside are more than twenty original communion cards from the years 1943–1955, originating from Mechelen and the surrounding area – a tangible family history.

An exceptionally well-preserved piece of Catholic heritage.
