Vintage Russian Bible – Synodal Translation – circa 1970

A unique find in our collection: a Russian-language Bible in the classic Synodal translation.

This compact edition contains both the Old and New Testaments and is bound in dark green. Inside, there are maps of Palestine and the Mediterranean region, printed in a sober black-and-white style.

This copy likely dates from the second half of the 20th century and is printed according to the Synodal standard model that has been in use within the Russian Orthodox tradition since the 19th century.

An understated, historically charged book—fitting for a study, library, or as a spiritual object in an interior.
