Solingen Pocket Knife – F. Herder Abr. Sohn “CONSTANT” – c. 1920–1940
An authentic Solingen pocket knife from the interbellum period, manufactured by Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn – a well-established name within the German knife industry.
The classic Herder cross logo with “F. HERDER A. SN – SOLINGEN” is located on the tang. Additionally, the knife bears the model designation “CONSTANT”, accompanied by three spades as a trademark.
The knife is made of traditional carbon steel, which is visible from the natural patina on the blade. The handle consists of metal scales with brass liners and classic rivet construction.
This is an honestly used example with signs of age appropriate for a piece approximately 80–100 years old. Mechanically solid and not modernized.
A characterful collector's item from the Solingen tradition, suitable for enthusiasts of early 20th-century European pocket knives.
