A beautiful small Catholic prayer book from the interwar period: Magnificat – Church Book for Catholics, published by P. Vink Pzn. in Alkmaar and printed in Turnhout (Belgium).

This copy bears an imprimatur from December 16, 1929, and perfectly captures the atmosphere of the 1930s. The black binding with gold print, the warm gold/pink page edges, and the refined ornamental printing make this book not only a piece of religious heritage but also an aesthetic object.

Its condition is remarkably good: no loose signatures, no water damage, a neat spine, and still gleaming edges.
