Catholic Rosary with Wooden Beads and Brass Crucifix – Interwar Period
Vintage Catholic rosary with dark wooden beads and a crucifix with a Christ corpus, presumably dating from the interwar period.
The rosary consists of elongated wooden beads connected by metal links. Over the years, the beads have developed a beautiful deep color and natural patina.
The cross is made of metal with a figure of Christ in a brass-colored alloy. The corpus is attached to a slender metal cross, which gives it a characteristic and austere appearance typical of many European devotional objects from the first half of the 20th century.
Between the beads is a heart-shaped devotional medallion with a religious depiction, an element often found in older Catholic rosaries.
An authentic religious object that can be used as a devotional rosary or as a decorative religious object within a collection.
