Catholic Rosary - Blue Glass Beads with Metal Cross - c. 1920-1950

Vintage Catholic rosary with transparent blue glass beads and a metal cross.

The rosary consists of small round blue glass beads, connected by a metal chain. The beads have a slightly marbled appearance with a soft white band in the glass, a characteristic often found in Bohemian glass production from the first half of the 20th century.

The whole is completed with a metal cross with a corpus and a small devotional medal with an image of Mary. Due to the oxidation of the metal and slight signs of wear, the rosary has an authentic vintage look.

Rosaries like this were used for Catholic prayers and were often sold at churches or pilgrimage sites.

Due to its color and material, this piece is also decoratively attractive for a religious collection or curiosa interior.
