A small, understated Catholic missal and prayer book from 1951, printed in Turnhout.

This prayer book was specially compiled for older believers and bears the imprimatur of Mechelen (April 18, 1951). It is a fine example of pre-Vatican II Catholic devotional culture.

The gilding is remarkably well preserved, and despite the wear and tear on the cover, it still gives the book a warm, dignified appearance.

A charming religious object — suitable as a devotional book, collector's item, or decorative piece in a simple vintage setting.
