Handmade ceramic figurine "The Blacksmith" - black patina, c. 1940–1970

A sober and characterful ceramic figurine of a blacksmith at the anvil, executed in a matte black patina. The sculpture exudes craftsmanship and concentration: a moment of peace in the midst of work, captured in ceramics.

The figurine is handmade and likely comes from a small workshop. The black finish shows wear and small chips in several places, revealing the lighter ceramic underneath.
