Bohemian porcelain tea set with gold accents – Czechoslovakia, c. 1920–1940
An elegant porcelain tea set from the interwar period, consisting of a teapot and a matching milk jug. This set was produced in what was then Czechoslovakia and exudes the refined style of Bohemian export porcelain from the first half of the 20th century.
The soft cream-colored base is decorated with colorful floral motifs and refined gold accents on the handle, finial, and rim. The teapot is generously sized and is in beautiful vintage condition with light, appropriate wear to the gold. The milk jug has a small chip on the pouring rim; this has been factored into the pricing.
An atmospheric ensemble with character, history, and a subtle melancholy – originating from a country that no longer exists.
