Antique Small States Bible (c. 1870) – Nederlandsche Bijbel-Compagnie – With Marbling
An authentic 19th-century New Testament in the Statenvertaling (Dutch Authorized Version), published by the Nederlandsche Bijbel-Compagnie and printed by J. Brandt & Zoon (Amsterdam) and Johannes Enschedé & Zonen (Haarlem).
This small, handy copy (12 cm high) breathes history. The marbled paper edge has acquired a beautiful warm discoloration, and the dark linen binding shows a subtle blind-stamped frame.
Inside, there is a handwritten dedication from 1929, which adds an extra personal and historical layer to the book.
