This book contains a collection of Jewish legends, myths, chronicles and narratives concerning Israelites from all countries and all centuries.

It is the first volume of this publication and constitutes an interesting cultural document from the mid-19th century, when the Jewish community in the Netherlands played an important role in social and cultural life.

Bound in original red linen publisher's binding. The interior is complete, with light signs of age and some binding weaknesses commensurate with its age.
