This antique edition of Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ by Lew Wallace was published around 1900 by Ward, Lock & Co. in London. The novel became one of the most influential religious novels of the 19th century and was read worldwide.

The reddish-brown linen binding with rich gold printing is typical of the period and gives the book a warm, stately appearance. The gold stamping on the spine and front cover is still clearly visible and, together with the yellowed paper and original illustrations, forms an authentic whole.

Inside, several black-and-white illustration plates are included. The book is in good antique condition with visible, honest signs of wear appropriate to its age.
