Wall plates

Wall plates may be the most beautiful cross between a functional object and an art piece. Once made for eating, now meant for viewing. In this collection, you'll find plates – and sometimes tiles – that have outgrown their place at the table and found a new life on the wall.

At Ziggy's Warenhuis, we see wall plates as silent storytellers. They reveal what was once considered important: decoration, symbolism, craftsmanship, pride. From richly adorned pieces with deep colors and gold accents to more serene designs that impress through their simplicity. Some plates immediately catch the eye, while others work more subtly and only truly come into their own when you look at them longer.

The collection is deliberately broad. No fixed style or origin, but a collection of what moves us: unique motifs, beautiful compositions, or simply that one plate you know fits better on the wall than in a cupboard. Sometimes classic, sometimes unexpected, sometimes almost painterly.
