Methodology

Ziggy’s Warenhuis is not a traditional webshop; it is a collection of finds curated with care and personal interest.

We source our items from thrift stores, private sellers, and flea markets. Everything you see on the site has been found or selected by us because we find it beautiful, special, or interesting.

Selection & Collection

The majority of our items are an active part of our own interior. The items you see in interior photos are in most cases available for purchase in the webshop.

If you cannot find something, it may be because the item has already been sold or because we haven't had time to photograph and add it yet. In some cases, an item is simply not for sale.

Additionally, there are items that we consider “Keepers.” These may be priced above market value. When this is the case, it is clearly stated with the product.

Valuation, origin, and dating

Our prices are fundamentally based on the market value, condition, and rarity of the item.

Because these are often unique pieces, valuation sometimes remains an estimate. We use a combination of experience, our own research, Google Lens, and ChatGPT to determine the origin, dating, and value.

If you feel that a dating or valuation is incorrect, please feel free to contact us. We are always open to additions or new insights.

AI

When researching objects and drafting (part of) the texts, we use AI as a tool.

This helps us gather information and structure content more quickly.
However, the content is checked, adjusted, and rewritten by us as much as possible.

We do our best to present information as accurately and completely as possible, but we remain dependent on available sources.
