Saint Bernard with Rescue Barrel | Metal Miniature | 6 cm

Small metal figurine of a long-haired Saint Bernard, recognizably depicted with the classic little barrel on its collar. Despite its modest size, the dog is exceptionally detailed, featuring a strongly modeled long coat, an expressive head, and fine details in the collar and barrel.

The Saint Bernard has been associated with the Alps and the rescue dogs of the Great St. Bernard Pass for centuries. The famous little barrel of brandy belongs primarily to the later legend surrounding these dogs, but grew into one of the most recognizable symbols of the breed. It is precisely this traditional motif that gives the small figurine its recognizable character.

The dark patinated metal emphasizes the texture of the coat and gives the figurine a beautifully weathered appearance. A charming vintage miniature for a collection of dog figurines, metal miniatures, or Alpine and Swiss curiosities.
