Ceramic Cat | Hand-molded Brown Earthenware | 7.5 cm

Charming vintage glazed earthenware cat figurine, executed in warm honey-brown and dark brown tones. The highly stylized form with its long, tapered torso, round head, and small ears gives the figurine a distinct retro look.

The cat is composed of various modeled details. The long tail wraps around the body like a decorative relief, while the snout, whiskers, ears, and paws are individually shaped. Two small openings form the eyes. The slight asymmetry and visible ceramic underside contribute to its artisanal character.

The combination of the simple silhouette and the typical brown glazes fits beautifully within ceramic design from the second half of the 20th century. At only 7.5 cm tall, it is a compact yet characterful collectible.
