Artil Utrecht Pewter Animal Orchestra | Giraffe with Flute | 92% Pewter | approx. 1970-1990
A striking musician from the vintage animal orchestra by Artil Utrecht. This small pewter giraffe stands upright, bending its characteristic long neck all the way forward to play a transverse flute.
The figurine belongs to a larger series of musical animals by Artil, in which various animals each play their own instrument. The combination of the long, curved neck, thin legs, and flute makes this giraffe a particularly recognizable member of the orchestra.
Despite a height of only about 7 cm, a great deal of detail has been incorporated into the model. The skin features a distinct geometric giraffe pattern, and the mane, head, hooves, and musical instrument are also individually crafted. The piece stands on a round base and is finished in natural silver-grey pewter.
The underside bears the original Artil mark with Utrecht, the designation 92% tin, and model number N1272. A charming Dutch vintage collectible, both as a standalone piece and as an addition to the Artil animal orchestra.
