Ziggy's Collection

Large decorative vase in Japanese Satsuma style, richly hand-painted with figurative representations of traditional Japanese warriors and floral motifs.

The vase has a pink base color with extensive polychrome decoration in red, blue, gold, and cream. The figures are detailed with fine brushstrokes and gold accents, typical of ceramics inspired by classic Satsuma pottery from Japan.

Subtle moriage relief decorations are visible on the surface – small raised dots that add extra depth to the design. The glaze exhibits the characteristic craquelé pattern often seen in Satsuma ceramics.

The scene depicts multiple figures in traditional attire, surrounded by floral motifs and decorative patterns. Due to the combination of rich colors, figurative painting, and the striking pink background, the vase has a distinctly decorative character.

With a height of approximately 32 cm, this is a striking piece that looks great on a cabinet, console, or sideboard.
