Sculpture of Honey Calcite Onyx | Processed Natural Stone

A substantial abstract sculpture made from a single piece of honey-yellow natural stone, shaped and polished while retaining part of the original raw stone. From various angles, the sculptural form is reminiscent of a stylized chair or seat, yet it remains intentionally abstract.

The material is likely calcite-onyx, a decorative natural stone prized for its layering and partial translucency. In this piece, honey-yellow, creamy-white, and subtly pink mineral zones intermingle. The translucent quality of the stone is particularly visible along the thinner sections.

A large portion of the surface has been ground smooth and polished, while the raw, natural exterior of the original stone block has been preserved on one side. The contrast between the two surfaces highlights both the natural material and the craftsmanship involved.

Due to its size of approximately 17 × 13 cm and the weight of solid natural stone, the object has a solid presence. Suitable as a standalone sculptural piece, but also as part of a collection of minerals, natural stone objects, or modernist decor.
