Psalms and Hymns (1938) | Reformed Church Book, Fifth Edition

A classic Dutch psalm and hymn book, compiled for worship in the Dutch Reformed Church. This fifth edition belongs to the well-known Reformed collection presented to the church by the General Synod in 1938.

The book contains psalms with musical notation, hymns, and various ecclesiastical forms, including texts for baptism, the Lord's Supper, and the solemnization of marriage. The catechism and church order are also included.

The sober black binding features a blind-stamped Christian monogram on the front cover and gold-colored spine lettering. The striking red page edges form a beautiful contrast with the dark cover.

A characteristic example from the Dutch Protestant book tradition, interesting for enthusiasts of religious books and church history.
