An authentic Dutch Roman Catholic church and prayer book from 1912. Het Gulden Wierookvat (The Golden Censer) by Fr. Eppink contains prayers, ecclesiastical instructions, litanies, and an extensive collection of religious hymns.

This second edition is bound in dark leather with gold-stamped decorations and fully gilded edges. Inside are richly decorated IHS endpapers and numerous detailed religious illustrations based on designs by Prof. Jos. Klein and Brother Max Schmalzl.

A notable feature is the preserved original shop label of Gees Huinck on the Vreeburg in Utrecht, who at the time specialized in religious statues, church books, and rosaries. There is also an old handwritten owner's inscription in the front.

A characteristic Dutch devotional book from the rich Roman Catholic life of the early twentieth century.
