Antique illustrated edition of “Plisch und Plum” by the German writer and illustrator Wilhelm Busch, one of the founders of the modern comic strip.

The book was published in 1907 in Munich by Verlag von Fr. Bassermann and contains Busch's characteristic pen-and-ink illustrations. The story follows the adventures of two mischievous dogs and is told in rhyme with humorous pictures.

Busch is considered a pioneer of the European comic strip, and his work served as an important source of inspiration for later cartoonists and comic artists.

The edition is bound in an original cloth cover with title and illustration on the front board. Inside are the original black-and-white illustrations and typography from the early 20th century.

There is a handwritten dedication on the title page from 1908, which gives the book a personal historical character.

A charming collector's item for enthusiasts of classic illustration, early comic history, or antique children's books.
