Complete two-volume edition of Bij de Bron by Dr. P. ten Have, a comprehensive Dutch manual for religious education, catechesis, and Bible study.

The set consists of a separate volume on the Old Testament and a volume on the New Testament. Both books are from the 10th edition, published by J.N. Voorhoeve in The Hague in 1976. Ten Have presents biblical history through individual lessons, combining Bible passages with historical background, explanations, doctrinal treatment, and practical questions.

Bij de Bron saw many reprints during the twentieth century and was used in catechesis, Sunday schools, Christian religious education, and more. This edition was further edited by P. Roest after Ten Have's death.

The two substantial hardcover volumes together form a beautifully preserved uniform set. The green cloth bindings feature gold lettering and recognizable religious symbols: a menorah on the Old Testament and a fish on the New Testament. The Old Testament also includes several biblical maps.
