Porcelain Ashtray with Birds & Peonies | Approx. 1960-1980
Decorative vintage porcelain ashtray featuring a richly detailed East Asian bird and floral pattern, presumably manufactured in Japan in the second half of the 20th century.
The central motif showcases colorful birds amidst blooming pink and white peonies. The design is framed by a deep reddish-brown ornamental border with black accents and fine gold detailing. The same motif continues around the exterior, making the ashtray particularly decorative from the side as well.
The three integrated cigarette rests are subtly incorporated into the raised rim. The porcelain and the decoration have been well preserved.
A characteristic piece of vintage export porcelain that, in addition to its original function, can also be used excellently as a decorative dish or collectible item.
