A refined vintage decorative pitcher made of cream-colored glazed earthenware, richly hand-decorated with floral motifs, geometric ornaments, and gilded accents.

The bulbous body is painted with stylized flowers and vines in blue, soft pink, green, black, and reddish-brown. Dotted bands and a geometric zigzag pattern are combined with gold-colored bands around the neck and foot. The wavy spout and gracefully curved handle are also finished with gold.

The design and decoration technique are consistent with Central European decorative earthenware from the first half of the twentieth century. The pitcher was found in České Budějovice in the Czech Republic. A maker has not been identified.

A fine natural crazing runs across the light glaze, consistent with the age of the object. Small variations in lines, colors, and ornaments clearly reveal the hand-painted nature of the decoration.

A particularly decorative small ceramic object with an elegant shape, refined painting, and beautifully preserved gilded details.
