Antique Catholic prayer book “Im Kreuz ist Heil”, printed in 1875 in Kevelaer by Butzon & Bercker.

Bound in an exceptionally rich binding with gilded metal edge construction, cross-shaped corner fittings, and a central relief of the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God). The gilt edge is remarkably well preserved, and the original metal clasp functions correctly.

The spine is covered in deep burgundy velvet and bears a gilded title plate reading “Gebetbuch”. The interior contains chromolithographic devotional prints and is in a clean, stable condition. The binding is completely intact.

A high-quality 19th-century Catholic edition from the pilgrimage site of Kevelaer, crafted as a personal devotional or gift book.
