Black Ceramic Panther | High-Gloss Retro Statue | 15 cm

A striking ceramic panther sculpture in a deep, high-gloss black, executed in a powerful stylized form. The panther is seated upright with its head held high, small ears, and a long tail that curls forward along its body. The silhouette of the big cat is particularly well-defined in profile.

Glossy black panther sculptures became a recognizable element of interior decoration throughout the 20th century. This compact piece fits into that retro tradition, but opts for a seated pose instead of the more familiar elongated, stalking panther.

The sculpture is hollow-cast from ceramic and finished with a highly glossy black glaze. The fluid modeling and near-complete monochrome execution ensure that light and reflections emphasize the panther's contours.
