Société Céramique Maestricht Bowl - Tea Drinker - Made in Holland

Characterful antique bowl from Société Céramique in Maastricht, executed in a classic blue transferware pattern.

This so-called “tea drinker” bowl is richly decorated with figurative scenes in cartouches, interspersed with floral and bird motifs along the rim. The combination of the deep cobalt blue and the narrative depictions gives the piece a strong visual presence, typical of the Delft-inspired export pieces from the early 20th century.

The bowl stands on an elegant base and feels solid and timeless. A beautiful example of Dutch industrial earthenware that was sold internationally at the time.

Suitable both as a functional object and as a decorative piece in a china cabinet or open kitchen.
