Catholic Rosary with Wooden Beads and Brass Crucifix – Interwar Period
Vintage Catholic rosary with dark wooden beads and a crucifix featuring the corpus of Christ, presumably dating back to the interwar period.
The rosary consists of oblong wooden beads connected by metal links. Over the years, the beads have developed a beautiful deep color and natural patina.
The cross is made of metal with a figure of Christ in a brass-colored alloy. The corpus is attached to a slender metal cross, which provides a characteristic and austere appearance typical of many European devotional objects from the first half of the 20th century.
Between the beads is a heart-shaped devotional medallion with a religious depiction, an element frequently found in older Catholic rosaries.
An authentic religious object that can be used either as a devotional rosary or as a decorative religious piece within a collection.
