An impressive Flemish missal from 1947, printed in Turnhout and ecclesiastically approved in Mechelen.

“Volledig Dagelijks Misboek en Vesperale” (Complete Daily Missal and Vesperal) contains the full Roman mass according to the pre-Vatican II liturgy, supplemented with vespers, prayers, and propers for feast days.

Bound in a beautiful light brown leather cover with deep relief of an angel with a burning candle. The page edges have a striking gold/pink sheen and, at 6 cm thick, the book is exceptionally voluminous.

Inside are more than twenty original communion cards from the years 1943–1955, originating from Mechelen and the surrounding area – a tangible piece of family history.
