Royal Dux Bohemia Porcelain Vases | Czechoslovakia c. 1960
A decorative pair of porcelain ornamental vases by Royal Dux Bohemia, manufactured in the former Czechoslovakia in the second half of the 20th century.
The vases have a classic amphora shape with openwork double handles, a wavy rim, and a raised foot. The white porcelain is richly decorated in soft blue and gold, with floral depictions in shades of blue, gray, and yellow. The many gilded lines, flowers, and ornaments follow the shape of the porcelain, giving the vases their distinctive Royal Dux appearance.
It is particularly appealing that the two pieces have been preserved together. With heights of approximately 14 and 14.5 cm, they form a strong decorative pair that looks excellent both individually and placed symmetrically.
Both vases are marked on the bottom with the blue triangular Royal Dux Bohemia factory mark, including the designation Czechoslovakia and the letter M.
A beautiful and richly decorated pair of vintage Bohemian porcelain with well-preserved gold decor.
