Collapsible Linen Tester – Textile Inspection Magnifier – c. 1900–1940

Small folding linen tester magnifier from the first half of the 20th century.

Used in the textile industry to inspect weave structures and thread count. The square frame was placed on the fabric while the convex glass lens magnified the detail.

Solid brass/copper alloy with visible patina and wear to the original finish. The green oxidation and worn gold-tone surface give the piece an authentic industrial aesthetic.

Compact size of 25 x 11 mm when folded.
