This item is generally not intended for sale and is therefore priced above market value
An elegant set of hand-carved wooden birds with outstretched wings and an openwork composition.
The sculptures are crafted from dark flamed tropical hardwood and display a strong, stylized design language reminiscent of mid-century design. The combination of sleek lines, rhythmic wing distribution, and open structures gives the pieces a light yet powerful appearance.
This set was presumably crafted in Indonesia in the 1970s for the European market. It is artisanal wood carving with a clear focus on form and balance.
The birds form a harmonious set, but can also be displayed individually.
Please note: a crack is visible on one wingtip. The part is still attached but fragile.
