Topics such as life after death, spiritual phenomena, psychometry, the collective soul, and the relationship between body, psyche, and consciousness are discussed in detail. Thus, the book forms a remarkable historical document of the way psychology, spirituality, and human consciousness were thought about during the interwar period.

At the front is an pasted-in ex libris with an illustration by Anton Pieck, signed in the image. During his career, Pieck created a large number of personal ex libris, in which the books, professions, and interests of the owner often played an important role. The ex libris in this copy shows a man reading in front of a richly stocked bookcase. At the top of the endpaper, there is also the handwritten dedication "Voor Thea.".

The original beige linen binding with blue-black graphic design is still sturdy and the binding is in good condition. An attractive Dutch interwar book in which content, book design, and the pasted-in work by Anton Pieck come together beautifully.

Author: Ir.
