Set of 4 Religious Children's Cards 1944 - WWII Netherlands - Rotterdam Venlo

Set of four original religious postcards from 1944, sent during the final phase of the Second World War.

The cards feature soft, characteristic illustrations of children combined with prayers and religious texts. The depictions of praying and protected children offer a unique glimpse into the state of mind of that time.

The reverse sides feature original postmarks and Dutch stamps, including wartime slogans such as “Save waste paper” and “Front care is a duty of honor.” These details place the cards directly within the context of daily life during the occupation.

The cards were sent to addresses in cities including Rotterdam and Venlo, which makes this set extra interesting as a historical collection.

An evocative and meaningful set with both decorative and historical value.
