This Dutch edition of After Death, the third and final volume of Camille Flammarion's three-volume The Riddle of Death, was published in 1923.

Flammarion, known as a French astronomer and writer, also spent many years addressing one of the great questions of his time: can consciousness survive after physical death? In this third volume, he collects and discusses accounts of apparitions and manifestations by the deceased, spiritualist experiments, and other phenomena that were studied within the field of psychic research at the time.

A remarkable historical document at the intersection of the history of science, parapsychology, and spiritualism, now more than a century old. Bound in dark blue cloth with gold lettering and the original publisher's vignette on the cover and spine.

The copy is complete and firmly bound. The cover shows clear but appropriate signs of wear, particularly along the corners, edges, and spine. The interior has been well preserved for its age.
