A beautiful French Roman Catholic missal from 1964, published by Maison Mame in Tours and compiled by Père J. Feder S.J. and his collaborators.

This compact Missel vespéral des fidèles contains the liturgy for Sundays and the most important feast days of the liturgical year, presented in French and Latin. The edition appeared during a significant period in Catholic liturgy and was adapted to the liturgical regulations and changes of the early 1960s.

The book is richly crafted with a cognac-colored binding with gold decoration, gold-stamped spine title, and all-gilt edges. Inside, it features multiple full-page color reproductions of medieval religious artworks, including images from the Psalter of Père Berthold from the Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris.

Additionally, two loose religious devotional cards have been preserved between the pages and are included with the book.

With 959 pages on thin paper, this is a remarkably compact yet comprehensive liturgical edition. A beautifully preserved example of French Catholic devotionalia from the 1960s, interesting both as a religious object and for collectors of antique missals and church books.
